Social media is signing Justin Jefferson’s praises following reports of an incredible gesture made toward the family of Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was the victim of a fatal shooting this Wednesday, with a lone gunman taking him out while he was speaking at Utah Valley University. The shooter is understood to have been on top of a building around 130 meters away, escaping on foot through a wooded area.

Jefferson, widely regarded as the top wide receiver in the NFL, is trending on Twitter/X, with claims that “Immediately after Charlie Kirk passed away, Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson immediately stepped in, pledging to pay all living and educational expenses for Kirk’s two children.”

The post adds:

“This action not only eased the burden on Kirk’s family during this time of grief, but also caused a stir on social media, as many people expressed their admiration for Justin Jefferson’s kindness in this tearful moment…”

Justin Jefferson’s Gesture Unlikely To Be Real

The claims drew plenty of plaudits, with lots of users commending the WR.

“Wow, tragedies really can reveal the incredible kindness in people!” one declared.

“This is the world I want to live in 👇,” said another.

“Class act by Justin Jefferson,” said a third.

“COMMON SENSE: I just became a Vikings fan. God bless this young man,” one user wrote.

As great as this sounds, however, it’s believed to be a false statement, with nothing confirming Jefferson made such a gesture.

Still, Kirk’s death has prompted several reactions around the league, including from Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who had a relationship with the outspoken conservative, who shared similar beliefs.

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers have reportedly fired an employee over an insensitive post related to Kirk’s murder, having publicly distanced themselves in a blunt social media post.
